Dayika’s1st Blog

In class one day in 2019, I think it was a Tuesday, one of my friends were crying because they didn’t put all of their effort into their geography test. So I asked our Geography teacher, Miss.Premchand, if I could show the class a presentation. She agreed, as half of the children were at choir. I started blurting out what came to the top of my head. I basically summarized that:
• Don’t dwell over one thing or you’ll miss out on the rest
• The quote “There’s no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs”
Miss.Premchand looked very impressed. I asked her why. She said that I was gifted, and told me about how many other people also needed that motivation. I was stunned. All of my speeches aren’t even prepared, so I never thought they were that good. But what stuck in my mind is how many other children and even adults would benefit from motivation from me! I was eleven years old at the time, and It was a few weeks before my birthday. “Why would people benefit from an 11 year old?” I wondered.

My mum always tells me how lucky I am. I was born with my legs different sizes. My mum always reminds me that there are people who have it worse. Instead of thinking how lucky I am, I mostly think of all the people who do have it worse. If I’m sad about that, how would they react? I feel bad for them, and I’ve always wanted to help in some way. On the 14th December 2019 (The day that I am writing this) I thought about buying my sisters Christmas presents. I looked up “How to make money as a kid” and one of the things I saw was to start a blog. And that’s how I got the idea.

This blog is going to be for those who were born different, like me, or anyone who needs a bit of motivation or inspiration. I’m going to try and help people who are better, or worse than me. I believe that with time, people will stop being so overprotective of us, and judging us by their knowledge from only what they think, not what they know. This blog also aims to give everyone, big or small, fat or thin or young or old, the extra push they need to carry on trying.
